IBreaking News for Jackson's Crossroads Amethyst crystal pay to dig fee mine , Hogg Mine star rose quartz, tourmaline , Aquamarine , and the Lagrange Clear Crystal mine ( all in Georgia ) and the Diamond Hill quartz prospect and the STONE TEMPLE MINE  and HALL FARM all in Antreville , South Carolina \ updated June 15 from Atlanta , Georgia. Wondering where to dig for crystals ? We have just the thing !  First time visitors are encouraged to add this webpage  ( bookmark ) to your favorites for fast access to the latest scoops on notable producing locales– ones where YOU , for a low fee , can go dig and collect nice crystals and minerals. Also , after  browsing the rest of my homemade website visit the slick commercial version www.dixieeuhedrals.net for streaming video of monster machine digs , a photo gallery and more. When you get ready to come dig you'll have lots of QUESTIONS , so please check out the new QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS page before emailing or calling.   New !  Please sign the guest book located at the bottom of this page.           I'll have an update  tonight with a link to a fieldtrip report later tonight. here's a sneak preview of what happened on sunday David_Cobb.jpg  I hope to have my own report done Wed. as I have some nice pictures. The rose quartz spheres are in along with the carved animals , this material was hogg mine rose quartz that I sent to china .  Joseph frielich :   I want my money !   Please help me propagate this website across the web , send a friend a link to this page !  FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK , WE SALUTE YOU !    I have ordered a cat 318 excavator to be sent to jxr on june 16 .  Rarely a situation develops where the company is unable to send the machine out.    As a back-up I have my big backhoe on the property.  the fee for Saturday will be $100 per person .  This entitles each person to go thru the tailings as the big machine brings up fresh material . Generally , boulders are brought up that have really nice material  , & , since the machine is so big , it brings up more material than fifty people could go thru in a days time ~~~ and there will most likely only be ten folks to attend .    If for some reason the big machine fails to arrive then I will use the backhoe and the fee will only be $50 .    No one is allowed in the excavation hole at anytime.   Usually I try to give each person a chance to  come down in the hole , but this is not allways possible .  Generally , the nicer the crowd treats me , the nicer I am .   Sometimes , there is a jerk in the crowd who pisses me off first thing in the morning ( either by being unsafe  or by being rude to me or the fellow participants ) . Once this happens I am not a very agreeable person  & not very friendly  & not nearly as apt to go out of my way to help people.        Sunday  , the fee will be $50 .   On sunday , I may permit people to pay a higher fee and enter the hole and keep what ever is found . This is usually $300 to $400 per person  but may be as low as $100 if i get enough people willing to go in and work togethor without a fuss . The folks that have done this in the pass have been quite pleased and there will be people there that you can ask about their experiances.  I wont be able to determine the plan for Sunday untill  late saturday afternoon .     I  will be going right down to the bottom of the pit and will be working in the HYBRID area , that has yeilded the best specimens-- including the " Royal Crown"  specimen that was sold in Tucson earlier in the year .    I may also have a secondary area , to continue working the Vertical Tube Pocket #5 .    All in all , the  June 17 dig appears to be  very promising !I will be at the Weinman Saturday June 10 at the " Rockfest" rockswap .  Come visit me at the rock and gem show for hot deals on jacksons crossroads amethyst crystals and facet rough ! Lagrange Clear crystal mine  ! See the fieldtrip report at this link : http://www.rocksandlace.citymaker.com/throwdown1.html   Also , since we have had all the rain , all the sites should be good for a collecting visit , especially Stone Temple and JXR !    4sale_on_ebay.jpg I went to jxr and fired up my trusty New Holland lb75.b backhoe and moved some dirt around . I rolled bouldrers hither and yon , and moved some dirt around to make the place fresh and new fo folks such as like to go out there and do some rock huntin'. Little dig I know that I was about to dig in a  place that turned out to be so strange and wonderful.big_single.jpg  I moved some dirt and made a good flat place to set my machine . I started out finding some good material and i noted that the dirt was that good yellow dirt , so i got kind of excited. As I was digging , the ground got harder and rockier , with an amethyst or to to fuel me on.   I was getting on down and rockin' that machine in a regular rythm when I noticed water gushing in the bottom of the hole.  Now , after some extensive digging all over this state the last 20 years , I had seen something like this before so I halted immediately . Sure enough , there was a tell - tale crystal jutting out of a pocket with water gurgling out.    Experianced miners know that all one has to do in amethyst country is follow that water right to the pockets. I had never seen a vertical tube filled with water but this one was. It had huge crytals , doubel terminated crystals , and the most gorgeous facte grade color .handweb.jpg I have placed some of these for sale on ebay ( click this link to check it out ; www.stores.ebay.com/dixieeuhedrals  )  as well as the new Wilda t-shirts.   Natures_finest_creations.jpg  I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE DISCOVERY OF ANOTHER VERTICAL TUBE  at Jackson's Crossroads amethyst mine  !   Saturday June 3 saw the discovery of  Vertical tube pocket # 5 See ABOVE PICTURES. This one had nice big dark facet grade amethyst , in large double terminated specimens. The color of these are beyond belief .              I  successfully moved my machine back to the Northeast Georgia theatre . Machine dig June 3 -  $40.      I will be putting the Wilda t-shirts pictures up soon. I have these in stock as well as signed prints .  I also hope to get the  hogg mine rose quartz spherres and carved animals in from China TODAY. These are killer and are for sale.   Keep checking back !      machine dig at JXR June 17.  Special guest Fred Wilda will be down to visit . Fred is an artist and has made some very nice screen printed t-shirts featuring jackson's crossroads amethyst and these will be for sale as well as the new designs by Sherry Mitcham . I should have a big 50,000 pound trackhoe running and the entry fee is $100 per person for that Saturday only.  Dump pile digging Sunday June 19 will be $50 .  The machine will be on hand that day as well but will not be running much. Be sure to email me about the June 17 dig.treasure.jpgAll new mineral collectors location guidebook for sale . If your interested in places to hunt gemstones, rocks ,minerals , crystals e.t.c. , right here in the Southeastern United States CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE BOOK.  Big machine dig at jxr coming soon , this is one that a lot of y'all have been waiting for. $100 per person with big trackhoe. I have a choice select piece of hogg mine rose quartz rough , a really nice JXR amethyst starting out at only twenty bucks , and this killer stone temple smoky quartz crystal that I dug last weekend .prayin_at_the_temple.jpg Well , I really just picked this bad boy up off the ground after it rained !  With machinery having been run at all the locations , and with the recent heavy rains , all of the sites should be ripe for the collecting effort . Call me @ 404-975-8005 to book your trip . Last Saturday I did some digging at Stone Temple.  In short order I found a killer specimen that the rain had washed up . I got on my machine and dug into a vien and let everyone have a shot at getting some smoky crystals.  I am starting to like the place a little better , but , it's still for sale. I hope to add specimen pictures later. ANIMALmagnetism.jpg    Over the weekend we stayed at the latimer Inn , which is a hunting & fishing lodge.  I really like the common living room , replete with couchs , chairs , tables , and coffee maker. It's a great place to hang out with old and new friends alike.ECONOMIC_IMPACT.jpg   That Saturday we went into nearby Abbeville. We didnt get anything to eat because they were have a Cinco de Mayo throwdown & it was a little too crowded ( ! ) , but Don did get this cool picture : AMERICAN_GOTHIC.jpg Sunday we went in the rain to jxr.  Since I have a large shelter , we fired up the grill and waited for the rain to slacken off.  In short order I took a 16 pound hammer and broke 3 boulders in a row that had them good amethyst crystals in them .  There are plenty of boulders remaining and the place just kicks serious booty !  Specimen pictures to appear sooner or later , be sure to check this area later.     Help me propagate this page across the web , send a link to this website to a friend !   Tell your peeps at the rock club meeting !   NEW !  NEW ! All new t-shirt designs by Sherry Mitcham  . Available soon are these fresh bold designs , including a  rampant hawg : S_Mitcham_design.jpg and representing Jackson's Crossroads Amethyst , this rendition of the ROYAL CROWN specimen :SHERRY_MITCHAM.jpg  If your bored , go to yahoo and do a word reference search for the definition of " RAMPANT " in the American Heritage dictionary.   I'm  well known for using choice small words , slang words , bad words , and every now and then , one you may have to look up in the dictionary .  I am just cool like that !  Please sign the guest book . Some folks are unfamiliar with guestbooks  and do not know what they are for , and , subsequently what they are NOT for.  This is a place for the folks  who visit this page to introduce themselves ( once )  , say what they think about the site , and tell where they live ( I'm interested in where the many visitors to this page are at ) .  This is NOT the place to ask for information. If you want to visit one of my sites or want information , this guestbook is not the place for that .
